Interest take on the rules of blogging. I\'m read alot of posts like this, especially as I was getting started, but you\'ve laid it out pretty clearly. I\'ve often wondered about leaving a link, I felt that it was always wrong...but maybe not if you wrote the original post and it makes sense.
    Thanks,
    TAM

The Almost Millionaire, Hi TAM, interesting name, lol. Thanks a lot for your kind comment. If you want to leave a link you should first check what others are doing that are already in that community, if they leave links then it maybe ok, even sometimes some blogs does not like that we use keywords in our names, so better checkt them out what it seems to be accept it. In case you still wondering then contact the owner of the blog and ask what it is acceptable for him, everybody have their own take.

Hi. Great Post Luis. I'm so proud of you. I think you have develop very much from since I first see your post. LOL. You will be a great blogger in the future. Don't forget me if you have become famous like John chow. I'm not a good blogger but I can tell you can be a super blogger. BTW one suggestion for your blog. I think it is too crowded. I think you can remove the amazon, bookmarking service stats, blogging stats.
  • Luis Torres · 9 months ago
ian- Hi Friend, I am glad you like it. Yeah you are right I will get rid of them. I am doing some reconstructions before the new theme finally get online.
  • Melod · 9 months ago
I always find it annoying when some people seemingly only want "great post!" comments for their posts because it keeps them from getting their feelings hurt if someone has a differing opinion that rubs them the wrong way..but the thing is, if you aren't ready to accept people expressing their opinion than perhaps you shouldn't have a website...

    Great Post! lol

Melod,Hi Melody, you are right, forst of all a Blog is about exchanging opinions and they will be different than ours, so we better chill out and respond to our beautiful, kind, loving, intelligent, perfect readers really kind. Well perhaps with little less of falsity, lol. But I do love my readers cannot go without them.

Blogging Etiquette is a nice thing that should be preserved by all bloggers on the web. It should also become better if their will be a generally accepted blogging practices that is published in the net by a unified bloggers. Great post.
  • Luis Torres · 9 months ago
Vic - Business Accent- Hi Vic, nice you come. Yes you are right, if all bloggers create one single standard for Etiquette will be easier for all of us to know what´s accepted and what not.

    Zig Ziglar had said that:

People do not buy based in what they see

People do not buy based in what they want

People do not buy based in what they need

People do buy based in what they Trust.

    You are right !

    Hi Luis,

Thanks for the mention and for buying through my link. Actually that's another benefit of growing and belonging to a big community of friends in our blogging community. We will always be buying each other's product or service if we find them useful and need them. BTW I just subscribed (email) to your feed.

Blogging etiquette is hard to define. Certain practices such as comment spam, scraping content, and affiliate link spam, however, should never be tolerated. On the other hand, i defend and even encourage constructive criticism, provided it is done respectfully. Blogging etiquette should never mean "be nice". It should mean "provide/convey value".

Internet Marketing Basics- Hi Ryan, welcome to my blog. Really insightful comment, you said something real true, most people understand that they should say something "nice" as you said, thats why we can find all over the blogosphere comments like "great post", "Cool site" and the like but with nothing beyond that, like giving some extra value to the info in the site.

Sherry- HI Sherry, Did you mean you cannot get into the wordpress dashboard? What did you mean to check your subscribers?
  • Sherry · 9 months ago
I thought we need to go feedburner sign to check on subscribers? I can login my heart random blog but. I mean check email subscribers at my blog.
  • Luis Torres · 9 months ago
Sherry- Hi, As for feedburner, you need to move your feed to the new Google feed, you may need to login into your old account and choose move to Google in case you havent done so. Your subscribers for posts you mean? If its so then you can check them in manage and then subscriptions, they should all the emails from the guys that have subscribed to your blog.

I actually kind of agree with Chris Brogan... but I'm not going to link to his site from here.

I'm not into blogging 'reciprocation' unless it's fitting for my visitors or my website -- I don't link to 3rd party websites because I'm trying to help them out, it's because I want to help my readers out. And, while I may go and check out somebody who links back to me, I may or may not comment, and I may or may not link back -- it really depends on the situation.

I'm not social at all (I almost never leave my house), so maybe that's my personality bleeding through, but that's my take on it.
