Hi Luis,

Very good tips and thanks for sharing. Sometimes you try so many techniques you really wonder which one brought in the increased traffic when it happens. Anyway just sharing 2 that I had used before which may have helped get more search engine traffic. Since I changed by blog theme in Sep'08 I didn't realize that my blog titles were showing h2 and not h1 and of course I had it changed. Second I now tend to remember using more long tail keywords instead of 2 phrase keywords. Also apply LSI and don't stick to the same keyword phrases. Good to have more variations. Forget about keyword density.

Directory submission was one of the worse time backlink strategies of all time. Too much waiting for me. Article submission is gold though!

Melody- HI Melody, LOL, yes it is very time consuming unless you have some money to spend and pay to adwords or some seo company that will deliver you some targeted traffic. We can only choose to either do it ourselves or PAY, Ughh that word gives me the creeps, I guess I better do it myself, lol.

Vic - Business Accent-Hi Vic, that is another way to get traffic. This technique were to get traffic from the search engines. Social sites traffic its other kind of traffic, that if you network the right way you can get free targeted traffic too. Actually I believe in grabig traffic from both Search engines and Social sites, I dont want to rely too much in search engines such as "G" since they can change rules anytime and destroy all of your efforts, its better have a mix of traffic.

I'm also getting traffic from the forum I joined. I can use my signature to link to my website. Joining relevant forum who have the same interest to you is also a nice way of targeting relevant traffic. But of course becoming active is required.

Sherry- Hi Sherry, they are good sources of traffic but it is not from the search engines that are more targeted and people coming from serps are more willing to spend some money or leave a comment since they land on your site with a specific keyword, it were something they were actually looking for.

Michael- Hi Michael, yes they are important too, but this tips are for bringing targeted traffic from search engines. Social networks can help you to give you backlinks and then the search engines may give you a better positioning in the serps sharing with you more traffic.
